We had a fantastic time at the "Santa Shoppe and Community Tree" event held at LHA on December 12. Representatives from 15 units and a total of 24 tenants participated in the event. For those who couldn't make it, we have arranged for them to come in this week for special pictures with the Community Tree. The excitement was palpable as everyone placed their personally decorated ornaments on the tree. A big thank you to Ms. Beth Redding from Roanoke Housing Authority, Wally Williamson, and Lindsey Williamson for their invaluable assistance. Our volunteers truly make these events memorable! Hot chocolate and cookies added to the warmth of the occasion. The children had the delightful task of choosing a gift, beautifully wrapped, to place under their Christmas tree for their mothers. As we reflect on this heartwarming event, we eagerly anticipate the upcoming New Year and the prospect of organizing more engaging events at LHA.
