Wonderful Wednesday - April 30, 2025
On Wednesday, April 30th, Auburn Housing Authority hosted a "Wonderful Wednesday" event at the Porter House, beginning at 12:00 PM. The gathering welcomed nine attendees and featured delicious meals provided by Campus Kitchens.
We were pleased to welcome guests from Auburn University and the Braveheart Program, including interns who delivered care bags for our seniors. Ms. Erika Martin of the Lee County Literacy Coalition also joined us to share valuable information about the organization's programs, which offer both online and one-on-one support to help individuals achieve financial independence.
Ms. Martin spoke with the group about launching a computer or tablet class focused on the basics of using technology - such as setting up an email account and performing simple online searches. The seniors expressed great interest in the idea and are excited for this potential learning opportunity.
Join us for our next Wonderful Wednesday event where seniors 60+ come together to connect, build friendships, and enjoy a variety of activities designed to enrich their lives. It's a great opportunity to learn new life skills, share experiences, and be part of a supportive community.
