National Night Out (NNO) 2019
The Auburn Police Division (APD) and the Auburn Housing Authority hosted its annual National Night Out (NNO) event on Thursday, October 10th. The event was held at the Ridgecrest community. Over twenty organizations were present to offer information about their resources. The event also included door prizes, food and entertainment.

Pfizer Vaccination Clinics (April 2021)
This week, our agencies partnered with East Alabama Medical Center to host multiple Pfizer vaccination clinics for our staff, residents, and anyone age 16+ in the local community! We're happy to help get this pandemic behind us!
Porter Community Christmas Tree Decor Event (December 2019)
Our residents enjoyed cookies, cupcakes, and crafts while decorating the Porter Christmas tree!

RHA Back to School Event (August 2022)
Our RHA Community celebrated the last days of summer, with a fun event filled with free food and back-to-school supplies!

RHA Graduation Reception (May 2024)
Roanoke Housing Authority (RHA) recently hosted a graduation reception for our Roanoke High School seniors. The event celebrated the academic achievements of students residing in RHA-managed properties, highlighting their hard work and dedication. Families, friends, and community members gathered to honor the graduates, who were presented with certificates. We congratulate the graduates and wish them all the best in their future endeavors. May your journeys be filled with success, happiness, and endless opportunities!
RHA Tailgate Event (September 2022)
Roanoke Housing Authority (RHA) hosted a Tailgate Event to celebrate the Handley High School Football Season. The RHA Tailgate included games, food, and snacks. We thank all the residents and community that came out to celebrate with us. We want to thank RHA Commissioner Sarah Nunn, RHA Commissioner Scot Thomason, RHA Board Chairperson Paula Lambert, Roanoke Police Chief Jonathan Caldwell and Lieutenant Mark Farmer, and Roanoke City Councilwoman Tammi Holley for attending. We want to thank Corner One (ESSO Gas Station – Mr. John Glass), WM Grocery (Mr. Mike Parmer), Taco Bell (Ms. Tanektua Weaver), and Walmart Corporation (Store #10863) for their donations toward the success of the RHA Tailgate Event.

Ridgecrest Christmas Event (Dec 2023)
Auburn Housing Authority Resident Services and the Auburn Smart Bank hosted a Christmas Event for the Ridgecrest Community on December 7th . Over 50 residents attended the event as they celebrated with refreshments and color sheets.

Senior Citizen's Holiday Luncheon (December 2019)
We had a great time at our Senior Citizen's Holiday Luncheon. Our residents and staff enjoyed delicious food and great conversation!

Seniors enjoy making quilts during their field trip to the museum.

Sparkman Movie Night (Aug 2021)
Sparkman Community youth participated in an outdoor movie night in October, courtesy of the Lee County Democratic Club. Youth played games and brought their blankets to watch Jumanji: The Next Level on the big outdoor screen.

Summer Feeding
The Auburn Housing Authority held Summer Feeding Programs at its Eastpark and Sparkman community in July 2019.

Summer Feeding and Vacation Bible School (VBS)
Freedom in Christ hosted Vacation Bible School at the LaFayette Housing Authority’s Jenkins site in July 2019.

Voter Registration Drive (Oct 2020)
AHA Residents were given the opportunity to register to vote, request an absentee ballot, pick up a sample ballot, and receive other voter information at AHA community sites in advance of the November election.

What Home Means to Me Poster Contest Participants (May 2024)
The What Home Means to Me poster contest is an annual competition that recognizes the art of children who live in affordable housing. The contest has been held since 2008 by the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) in collaboration with its local, state, and regional chapters. The contest's goal is to highlight the importance of the work done by community development professionals and housers.
